The GL Range
Always aim for the lowest possible number:
- Low 10 or less: apricot, asparagus, avocado, apple, banana (the riper the higher the GL), beans (green, black, butter), couscous
- Medium 11-19: biscuits, mashed potato, sponge cake, crisps, fizzy drinks, pastry
- High 20 plus: pasta, sugary cereal, pizza, white rice, chocolate cake, dates
